Explore the house!

Sunday, 17 May, 11:00 AM–5:00 PM

Welcome to explore the Hallwyl Museum on your own!

On this Sunday, you can visit a few areas of the museum that are usually only accessible during guided tours. Discover the palace’s five floors at your own pace—from the kitchen to the picture gallery.

Good to know before you visit

  • Included in the admission to the museum.
Free of charge for children up to 18 years old. No booking required.
  • Hamngatan 4, 111 47 Stockholm
  • Accessibility – the museum does not have an elevator: The Hallwyl Museum has five floors. Since there is no lift, you will need to climb the stairs. The number of steps varies, depending on where you want to get to in the house. If you want to go on a guided tour of the house, this would entail at least 103 steps up and down.

Wardrobe: To avoid bumping into objects in the museum environment, it is not allowed to bring bags into the museum or carry jackets on your arm. There are lockers on the ground floor of the museum where you can secure your belongings. No coins are needed. Small bags are allowed inside.

Packed meal: Food and drink are not allowed in the museum. Hallwyl Restaurant is located in the courtyard of the museum and serves food.

Strollers and prams: For evacuation reasons, it is not possible to bring a stroller/pram with you around the museum, however there are a few places for leaving strollers. The nearest place to lock prams is on Norrmalmstorg.
